KBB supplier Hill’s Panel Products (HPP) has appointed Darren Booth, the son of Manchester City football player Tommy Booth, to be its new national sales manager.

Darren has worked in sales roles for more than 20 years, which he began by selling kitchen door handles at Sykes Distribution in Middleton. He then spent 17 years selling consumables for German-based Wurth, before going on to become national distribution manager for Blum.

In his new role, Booth will take charge of HPP’s nationwide network of sales representatives, and says one of his first tasks will be to welcome two new members to his team in the near future.

“We’re investing in people, sales and products and we’re never going to stand still,” Booth commented, adding, “I feel that coming here has re-lit a candle in me”.
