Multi-year kbbreview Award winner Kitchens by J S Geddes has recently celebrated its milestone 40th anniversary.
The business marked the occasion last month with an anniversary party at its showroom in Kilmarnock, Ayrshire. Chef Ally Beattie catered the event, using the showroom’s own Miele appliances.
As part of the festivities, the business also handed out several “long partnership awards” to its longest-serving suppliers, which included the likes of Callerton, Poggenpohl and Kuhlmann Küchen.
Reflecting on the business’ history, Jim Geddes, founder of Kitchens by J S Geddes, commented: “40 years – wow, I can’t believe that. It hardly seems any time since we opened the doors for the first time. Our ‘game plan’ was to ensure that we could give customers the best possible service at the best possible value for money. Today, 40 years on, we still have the same ethics and principals, and fortunately our team members are driven by the same goals.
“The future of Kitchens by J S Geddes is secure in that the directors of the company , Joanna Geddes, Rebecca Geddes, and Michael O’Hare, will continue on the same path with the same principals. Mary and myself are also still enjoying the day to day involvement in the business and will continue giving our input as required.”
Geddes concluded: “We look forward to the future and to the continued success of Kitchens by J S Geddes.”
Along with its impressive history, the retailer has also been highly commended in the KBB sector, having won several kbbreview Retail & Design Awards in recent years. Company director Joanna Geddes has also been named as a category finalist in this year’s KBSA awards, with the winners to be announced next month.
kbbreview is also celebrating it’s 40th anniversary in 2024, which has coincided with a comprehensive redesign of kbbreview magazine.
