Roca Group UK has announced two new key appointments: Barry Gladwish is joining the company as its new residential specification manager, and Rob Slimming has been appointed as its new regional sales manager for the North.
Gladwish will now be responsible for growing relationships and manage specifications with existing regional developers and housebuilders. Although the majority of his previous experience has been in the builders’ merchants market, Gladwish says he is confident of his success because of the similarities between sanitaryware and paint products.
He commented: “I also have long-standing relationships with many developers from my time in merchants and I’m really looking forward to working with these customers once again and introducing them to Roca and LAUFEN.”
Meanwhile, Slimming previously worked in a number of roles for Bristan, including as a key account manager, national account manager and regional sales manager.
He believes that having experience in such a variety of roles has given him invaluable experience, saying: “I’m looking forward to putting all the above into my new role, where I’m focused on supporting and coaching the Roca northern sales team to be the best they possibly can be.”
