Gaggenau to relocate London flagship showroom

Gaggenau’s current showroom on Wigmore Street

Luxury appliance brand Gaggenau has announced plans to move to an expanded showroom in West London, doubling its current showroom footprint.

The new showroom will be located on Portman Square, Orchard Court, and will feature 6,900 sq ft of space spread over two floors. The company has signed a 10-year lease on the property with Great Portland Estates (GPE).

Gaggenau estimates that its extensive refurbishment works on the space will begin in the coming months, with a view to opening the doors to the showroom in 2026.

Gaggenau has confirmed that once the new West London showroom has opened, it will close its showroom on Wigmore Street. However, it will remain open until renovations on the new site are completed.

The luxury appliance brand says that the new showroom will “provide the perfect setting for consumers to visit and experience the latest products in Gaggenau’s high-quality, luxury range”.

In addition, consumers will be able to visit the space to participate in cooking events and receive advice from consultants. However, as with the existing Wigmore Street showroom, it will not sell directly to consumers.

Simon Richmond, head of Gaggenau UK, commented:“Each of our new flagships around the world offer a unique experience to our consumers as well as our customers. We are excited to launch our latest flagship at Portman Square, W1.

“We have always had a great confidence in this area of the West End and having successfully showcased our products here for many years, we believe our increased investment and presence in London will be well received in the capital.”

Sarah Goldman, head of retail at GPE, added: “We are delighted that Gaggenau will be opening its new flagship at Portman Square. As one of the leading luxury home appliance brands, the decision to relocate and increase its footprint within the West End highlights the appeal of our central location at Portman & Wigmore, and shows we are committed to strengthening our retail offer for our customers.”
