CDA confirms new MD appointment

Chris Ward, the new MD of CDA

Appliance company CDA has announced the appointment of Chris Ward as its new managing director, after the recent departure of its former head, Dominic Worsley.

Ward shared the news on LinkedIn last month, with CDA itself now confirming his appointment to kbbreview.

He joins the company from his role as chair at New Digital Intelligence, a technology company that creates and operates customer-facing AI assistants. Prior to that role, he was also retail director of high street retail brand Wilko.

According to the company, the timing of Ward’s arrival so close to the end of the year signals “a fresh start”, and it believes his appointment will bring new opportunities for growth, enhanced product offerings and strengthened partnerships.

Commenting on his new role, Ward said: “In the process of joining, I’ve been hugely impressed by the heritage of the brand, the focus on innovation, and the passion of the CDA team”.

Ward’s predecessor in the role, Dominic Worsley, recently became the new UK group managing director of Middleby Residential, the company behind appliance brands such as Aga, Rangemaster, Rayburn, La Cornue, Novy and Josper.
