Fetim appoints new UK MD

International shower and bathroom manufacturer Fetim Group has appointed Mike Jones as UK managing director.

He will be responsible for business development in the UK for Fetim’s bathroom brands Aqualux and Haceka, as well as the growth and promotion of flooring, window decoration and shelving categories.

Jones has previously held the role of sales and marketing director, and has spent 20 years in senior sales and management positions within the construction and sanitary industry.

“I relish the opportunity to build the UK business, and believe my appointment demonstrates the commitment that Fetim Group have to the UK,” said Jones. “Capitalising on our sanitary brands, customer insight, and European design skills, we plan to empower our trade partners and professional clients to build a sustainable and successful business.

“As one of the industry’s leaders in bath and shower room design, we will be much more visible, and sharing our expertise regarding product development and technical improvements. We are already committed to attending the k+b design event in London next March, the Sleep Exhibition 2017 and have a number of marketing and sales initiatives planned for the New Year.

“The Board have invested significantly in new products, improving operations, smoothing the supply chain and my appointment is part of the Group’s strategy to focus on key markets, thinking globally, but acting locally to deliver what our customers need. There will be new appointments, both internal and external sales personnel in the near future as we restructure the business to be ready for the next phase of growth and expansion. It is an exciting time for us and for our customers.”

Peter Billiet, Fetim Group European sales director, added: “Mike’s leadership, together with his extensive knowledge and experience of the construction and sanitary industry, which is hugely respected, made him the natural successor to run the UK. His appointment takes effect from January 1, 2017.”
