Bathroom solutions brand Grohe has now opened its first-ever UK Specification Hub, which was launched at the Business Design Centre during this year’s HIX show.
The space was first publicly announced in September, where the company revealed it would be officially launching before the end of 2024. During last month’s HIX show, visitors were able to step inside the Hub for the first time.
As the first Specification Hub on UK soil, Grohe says the space has been designed specifically for A&D customers who would like a first-hand look at the company’s product portfolio. According to Grohe, the space is able to provide a tactile and personal experience with the brand ahead of decision-making.
The Hub will cater mostly to designers, specifiers and architects, and will be managed by the company’s UK sales and projects team.
Alongside appointment-only viewings, the space will also serve as an event space that can be used for training demonstrations and product launches.
HIX 2024 attendees could walk around the space and view Grohe’s core collections for the projects sector. This included the Cubeo basin mixer range and the Rapdio Shower Frame. The company has also included a working shower display, as well as a range of premium fittings, for visitors to view and interact with.
Chris Dodds, Grohe’s leader for the UK & Ireland, commented: “Our new Specification Hub in London is a significant step for us. We want our partners in the projects sector – many of whom have global influence – to have a dedicated space in which they can spend time with Grohe products and our specification team.
“It is intended to be a resource for many stakeholders, and we invite our customers to bring their own clients to visit us for specification discussions. I’d like to thank the team behind the project for their tireless work and look forward to welcoming our partners, both new and prospective into the space over the course of 2025.”
The venue for Grohe’s new Specification Hub, the Business Design Centre, has also recently changed hands, and will now be owned by Excel London going forwards.
In other recent news, Grohe also lent its support to the second-ever HIP female-only plumbing and heating skills competition, which took place between February and April this year.
