Interior Door Systems (IDS), the bespoke interior door supplier, has announced the completion of a £350,000+ factory refurbishment.
IDS said the upgrade represents the second largest investment in the company’s history and has increased its output capacity tenfold while supporting environmental responsibility.
The state-of-the-art refurbishment incorporates new technology and sustainable practices, including key advancements such as new CNC and drilling machinery, an eco-friendly multi-fuel energy system, enhanced edge bander technology, a high-performance dust extraction system, and a new in-house steel mill.
The company also said it is supporting its community through waste repurposing – donating excess waste materials to a local school’s woodwork department, and “fostering educational growth and sustainability.”
Commenting on the new factory overhaul, Sam Russell, IDS managing director, said: “This refurbishment is a defining moment for our company. By radically improving our manufacturing capabilities, we’re increasing output and reaffirming our commitment to sustainability and innovation.
“These upgrades enable us to deliver unparalleled value and service to our customers, raising the bar for quality and environmental responsibility in the KBB market.”
Back in November, the company launched its new trade platform that also included a door configurator with customisable ordering and real-time pricing.
