The managing director of bathroom supplier VitrA has announced he is leaving the company to become CEO of Julian Bowen Furniture.
Breen first became head of VitrA in 2022, and under his tenure, the company has introduced several new initiatives, such as its Vitality Retail Partner programme, and launching a 100% recycled wash basin.
Before starting at VitrA, he worked as a sales director for both Ideal Standard and appliance giant Electrolux UK. The company he is to take over, Julian Bowen Furniture, has a 30 year history supplying interior furniture across the UK, including bathrooms, bedrooms and home offices.
Announcing his departure on LinkedIn, Breen said: “Today marks a significant change for me as I work my last day for VitrA Bathrooms. It’s been an absolute honour to lead VitrA UK since July 2022, in what has been a dynamic period for the business.
“I’ve loved every minute with VitrA and would like to thank all of my friends at Eczacıbaşı Building Products Group and especially the UK team who have been outstanding professionals and friends throughout my time at VitrA. This month marks a new chapter in my leadership journey, and a new direction for me. I look forward to stepping into my role as CEO of Julian Bowen Furniture and leading the company to future success.”
Last year, Breen spoke with kbbreview about his plans to double the brand’s size by 2027, with supporting indepent showrooms being a cornerstone of its ambitious growth plans.
