Kitchen brand Leicht Küchen has changed its ownership structure, with a new majority shareholder taking the reins of the business.

As of this month, Leicht’s former majority shareholder, Welle Group, has handed over control of the company (as well as companies PAIDI and Bürstadt Furniture) to investor Orlando Capital. According to the company, this will ensure “the successful continuation of the company’s international expansion”.

Following the change, the Welle family will remain associated with the companies through a significant investment, with the management also having a stake in the companies.

In 1975, brothers Alois and Josef Leicht sold the business to the Welle family, who has been the majority shareholder up until this point.

Orlando Capital’s says it plans to make positive contributions to the further development of the company, along with its organisational structure.

Stefan Waldenmaier CEO at Leicht Küchen, commented: “The talks with the new owner so far have been very positive. There is a clear will to shape the company. The view of the industry and the assessment of the opportunities presented by a continued clear and dynamic corporate orientation in the coming years are congruent.

“Leicht is excellently positioned as a brand in the national market as well as in international markets and has modern and digitally networked production technologies. This provides a very good basis for the further positive development of the company, and we look forward to a good cooperation with our new majority shareholder Orlando Capital.”
