To reach the initial shortlist, all of the 2025 entries were reviewed by Richard Hibbert, the KBSA national chair, and Renée Mascari, founder of Mascari Design and former CEO of the KBB National Training Group.
The KBSA says the shortlisted entries were then scored by a panel of industry experts against four core criteria: how well the design met the brief, ergonomic and technical compliance, use of materials and/or technology, and overall creative impact
This year’s judging panel was headed by creative director of Bilbao Design, Ainhoa Bilbao. Also on this year’s panel was Elizabeth Pantling-Jones, the managing director of Lima Kitchens; Dan Stronge, MD of Jones Britain; Andrea Hillier, customer engagement lead at Blum UK; and Keith Myers, founder of The Myers Touch.
