National retailer Wickes has seen another strong financial quarter, with retail still performing well, and its design & install business continuing on a healthy upwards trajectory.
In its Q3 financial results released this week, Wickes Group says its design & installation business made £107.6m in revenue this quarter, which is a 7.8% year-on-year increase. This quarter also marks Wickes’ fourth consecutive quarter of order growth.
To put this into context, this time last year, Wickes was seeing a decline of more than 7% to its design & installation business, reporting that the sector was seeing a “continued challenging environment for larger ticket purchases”. However, since the year began, Wickes has seen a marked improvement to its design & installation sales, with this particular division seeing revenue growth of almost 4% across 2025 as a whole.
Wickes’ retail sales are also showing positive growth, having risen 6.7% year-on-year for a total of £312.5m this quarter. This means that across the group as a whole, Wickes made sales of £420.1m – an impressive year-on-year increase of 6.9%.
Outside of just Q3 results, Wickes says it has managed to achieve group revenue of £1.268bn so far this year, which is also a healthy 6% increase over its figures from this time last year.
This quarter also saw Wickes open two new stores, one in Bury St Edmunds, and another in Dunfermline. The retailer also says it plans to open a further two stores during Q4, which will total five new Wickes locations this year.
”This has been another strong period for Wickes, with sales driven by an increase in volumes,” explained David Wood, Wickes Group CEO. “Within Retail, our continued outperformance has seen us take further market share.
“In Design and Installation, the changes made to our offer are showing through in increased demand and ongoing momentum. Looking ahead, we remain well-placed for the full year as we continue to support our customers across all their home improvement projects.”
