Howdens sales still up with record numbers during peak period

Trade kitchen giant Howdens has continued its hot streak of strong sales growth this year, with the retailer also confirming it made record sales during 2025’s peak trading period.

In a trading update released this morning, which covers sales between June and November, Howdens says its UK sales were 2.4% ahead of the same period in 2024. Along with turnover, the kitchen giant also said it had boosted its number of order volumes as well.

Although this is already a positive result for the back half of the year, this also means Howdens has seen a promising increase of  2.7% across the year in total – despite the first half of 2025 actually having two fewer trading days than 2024.

The kitchen giant says this was boosted by record sales seen during its peak trading period, which ended on November 1. In fact, Howdens says it saw £8m of incremental sales booked on the final day of this trading period, which will be properly financially recognised in its next trading update.

These results mean Howdens’ has continued its streak of strong UK financial success in 2025, which was boosted by a 2.6% increase reported in the Spring, and a rise of 3.2% in its half-year results in July.

Outside of just UK business, Howdens said it had also enjoyed a 14.7% boost to its international business across the period, resulting in a total group sales increase this quarter of 2.8%.
