Judging finishes for kbbreview Retail & Design Awards 2017

The extensive judging process for the kbbreview Retail & Design Awards 2017 has concluded with its annual design presentation day at Riba.

The kbbreview event is the only awards in the kitchen and bathroom industry that has a two-stage judging process.

Firstly, judges go through the hundreds of submitted entries to come up with a shortlist of four in each category. Then, in the retailer categories, judges visit the shortlisted businesses in person to evaluate and truly understand how they operate.

In the design categories, finalists are invited to a special presentation day at the Riba headquarters in London to present their projects to a panel of judges.

This took place earlier this week, with 24 finalists travelling from all over the UK for their 15-minute chance of securing one of the most prestigious trophies in the industry.

This means that all the judging for the 2017 awards has now finished and all the finalists now face a nervous wait before the awards gala ceremony on March 27 at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole.

“The two-stage judging process is absolutely integral to the reputation of the kbbreview Retail & Design Awards,” said kbbreview managing editor Andrew Davies. “It’s a big commitment from us as organisers and, of course, our judges who give up a huge amount of time to make sure we pick the most deserving winners and finalists.”

And courtesy of the sponsors, all the retail and design finalists are given two free places at the event.

The awards event is the biggest networking and social gathering in the industry calendar and all the information on booking seats or tables can be found at www.kbbreview.com/awards or by contacting Anika on 020 8515 2113 or [email protected].

The awards event will be held alongside the annual kbbreview Retail & Design Conference in the same venue on the same date – conference in the day, awards at night. Anyone can attend just the conference, just the awards – or both to get a great discount.

For the full conference agenda and speakers see www.kbbreview.com/conference and you can also book your places there.
