Matthew Balnaves has been named as Geberit UK & Ireland’s new national sales director, following his predecessor Andy Lever’s appointment as managing director.
Balnaves joins the company from wienerberger, where he worked as the company’s head of commercial excellence. Prior to that role, he also spent 15 years at Hilti in various senior commercial and leadership roles. In total, he has more than 18 years of experience within the construction sector, and Geberit says he has a strong track record in sales leadership, commercial strategy and team development.
In his new role at Geberit, Balnaves will be responsible for leading the company’s national sales function and driving sustainable growth, overseeing a team of 49.

Geberit’s previous national sales director for projects, Andy Lever, was first announced as the company’s new managing director in April 2025, after Mark Larden announced he would be retiring from the industry in September of last year.
