Franke Group has acquired Norwegian kitchen hood manufacturer Røros Metall for an undisclosed sum, as it looks to strengthen both its Nordic presence and expertise in ventilation products.
Røros Metall will now form part of the company’s Franke Home Solutions division, with Håvard Augensen, Røros Metall owner and CEO, now becoming head of Franke’s operations in the Nordic region. Franke says his focus will be on reinforcing expertise in the central ventilation sector as well as expanding Franke’s regional and European presence.
Augensen succeeds Christoph Stuebi, who will now lead the integration of Røros Metall, ensuring a smooth transition.
Founded in 1946, Røros Metall launched its first kitchen hood in 1981 and is said to have since become a key player in the Nordic region. Røros Metall has also collaborated with Faber, Franke’s kitchen ventilation brand, for 20 years, and also became the official distributor of Franke sinks and taps in Norway in 2024.

In related news, Franke Home Solutions president Corrado Mura took over the running of the division earlier this month, following his predecessor Barbara Borra’s retirement after seven years in the role.
