Administrator appointed for Zeyko, Allmilmö and Nolff

German-based kitchen manufacturers Zeyko, Allmilmö and Nolff have filed for insolvency.

Part of the La Cour Group, Zeiler Möbelwerk GmbH (Allmilmö), Zeyko Möbelwerk GmbH and Nolff Möbelwerk GmbH all specialise in the production of kitchen solutions for the premium sector.

The companies want to use the provisions of insolvency law to carry out a “restructuring” of the businesses.

Dr Hubert Ampferl, of law firm Dr Beck & Partner, was appointed as administrator on Friday, February 24, and said the administration would have “no effect on the ongoing business”.

Group managing director Johannes la Cour said the company chose to enter administration because of “an ever more difficult competition environment with steadily rising cost pressures”.

He also confirmed that other companies in the group would not be affected.

The workforce has been informed about the current situation at company meetings at its various production sites in Zeil am Main, Mönchweiler and Murrhardt. The wages and salaries of its 300 employees have been secured until the end of April.

The administrator said all orders and new orders would continue to be carried out to its usual quality and reliability standards.

Over the next few weeks, the insolvency administrator will work with management to develop a restructuring solution to maintain the business as a whole and its jobs. This should be implemented by May 1.

Ampferl added: “Due to the high technical know-how of the employees and the innovation, the company is extremely attractive both for strategic and financial investors.

Daniel Rezvani, managing director of the Zeyko showroom in Wigmore Street, confirmed that the business was “open as usual”.

“This has not affected us whatsoever,” he said. “We are taking and fulfilling orders as normal.”
