Blanco announces leadership changes

Sink and tap specialist Blanco has announced its CFO Rüdiger Böhle will succeed Frank Gfrörer as CEO of the company later this year.

Böhle will step into the role on May 1, 2026. As CEO, he will now be responsible for the company’s finance, controlling, and administration, as well as the further development of its corporate strategy. Meanwhile, Gfrörer will now chair the Blanco Supervisory Board.

In addition, Blanco has appointed Melanie Aselmann to the newly created job of chief commercial officer at Blanco, who will also step into the role on May 1. Going forward, she will be responsible for integrating sales, marketing, product portfolio, and service in an even more connected approach internationally.

Aselmann has many years of experience in the industry, having started her career at Nestlé Germany, she also held positions at water filter company Brita, before going on to become Miele’s vice president of category marketing in the dishwashing division. She joins Blanco from Franke where she was managing director of its coffee systems division.

“In economically challenging times, [Böhle]’s broad professional know-how and comprehensive management expertise as a long-standing CFO are of great value,” said Frank Gfrörer. “He will ensure that performance and profitability are increased in order to enable further growth investments.

“At the same time, we have created a new position in top management that will manage sales, marketing, product portfolio, and service in an integrated manner close to the market and ensure the rapid and effective implementation of the strategic roadmap in the markets. We are delighted to welcome Melanie Aselmann, a distinguished manager with a wealth of experience. She combines in-depth expertise in strategic product and sales management with a high level of implementation competence in international markets.”
