C.P. Hart seeking new MD

Premium bathroom retailer C.P. Hart is on the hunt for a new managing director, with current MD Dean Weston being appointed to lead Wolseley Group’s Plumb Centre network.

Weston joined the company in March of 2025, following the announcement that his predecessor, Paul Rowland, would retire after leading the company for 22 years.

However, Weston’s new appointment to Plum Centre will leave the top spot at C.P. Hart open, with Wolseley Group saying it is looking for “a commercially sharp, people‑first leader with proven P&L ownership, multi‑channel experience, and a track record of building high‑performing, customer‑centric teams” to fill the position.

Wolseley Group also describes the MD opening as “a standout opportunity to lead a £50m business, oversee 16 showrooms, and inspire a talented team of 200 colleagues – all while shaping the next chapter of an iconic design‑led brand”.

Discussing the news on LinkedIn, Weston said: “After just a year, I am genuinely very sad to be leaving C.P. Hart at the end of this week. We have made so many really positive strides with the business and its fantastic colleagues & supply partners. It has been a true privilege to be the custodian of such a great brand, as it approaches its 90th year of leading the sector in luxury bathrooms.

“I’m grateful for all the internal and external support, proud of the teams within, & the business is in great shape for its next leader, but I will definitely miss it and its unique charisma!

“However, I am delighted to move into the main Wolseley group business, to look after the ‘Plumb Centre’ branch network across the UK. Wolseley has a new CEO, full of passion and ideas for growth, so whilst it’s all happening quickly, it feels an equally great time for me to join the board and lead the 450 branches as we aggressively commit to great service, great prices and obviously great growth. I’ve already met quite a few of the 2,000+ colleagues at their recent conference and there is definitely a fire in their belly; to not only be the biggest, but to truly be the best. Excited to be part of it all from next month. Game on!”
