MHK reports ‘positive signs’ with member and turnover growth

Buying group MHK says it is ‘seeing the first positive signs’ of industry improvement following a globally unstable few years, reporting increases to both its sales growth and total number of members last year.

At the group’s annual general meeting today, MHK Group CEO Volker Klodwig said that the organisation had increased its total gross turnover to €9.664 in the 2025 financial year – a year-on-year increase of 5.1%.

Within Germany, revenue increased by 3.1% across the year. However, in European territories based outside the Group’s home country, that growth was up by 8.6%.

Similarly, the buying group also reported seeing healthy growth to its total number of showroom partners. This total had risen by 72 showrooms, for an overall network of 4,382 member locations.

Explaining what it believes is behind this growth, the buying group said it attributed it to its “numerous business models and initiatives within the group”. This includes its YCON and Bad & Body franchise concepts, which were first announced at the company’s AGM last year.

Looking to the Group’s strategy for the future, Klodwig said the buying group also plans to significantly increase the amount of “AI and digital solutions” that will be available to members, which are being developed “in close consultation with shareholders.

“Our success is, above all, a shared success,” Klodwig said. “‘Creating Value Together’ is not only the guiding principle of the 2026 MHK Annual General Meeting for us, but also an expression of our ethos.

“It is precisely in challenging times that we see how strongly we stand together as a a European community and create sustainable added value for our partners.”

Looking ahead to the rest of the market in 2026, Klodwig said: “The environment remains challenging due to international developments and the current conditions. At the same time, we are seeing the first positive signs, such as a slight upward trend in the construction industry.

“Kitchens and bathrooms are the heart of the home – places where everyday life and quality of life come together. With our strong brands, successful concepts and the dedicated entrepreneurs in our partnership, we support our partners in boosting demand and increasing footfall at their locations.”
