Caple’s North East development manager, Phil Smith, has announced his retirement from the role, with Alix Thompson set to pick up the reins.
“During his tenure, Phil has been an exceptional member of the team and has developed the area growing existing accounts and welcoming new customers on board,” said Amanda Atkins, Caple’s Northern regional manager. “Phil will be missed by his colleagues and customers alike, and it has been a privilege working with him. He is leaving the area in a very strong position ready for Alix to take over.”
Meanwhile, Alix Thompson commented: “I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my first month at Caple and have appreciated the chance to get to know the team. Phil has been exceptionally supportive from day one, and his guidance has made settling into the role far easier than I ever expected. After joining him on customer visits, it quickly became clear that he’s set the bar impressively high.”
Thompson continued: “With my background in the appliance sector, I’m hopeful the transition will feel like more of a natural progression than a leap into the unknown. I’m excited to get out and meet more customers and building the relationships that will shape a long and rewarding future with Caple.”
