Impey launches Riba CPD training seminar

British wet-room manufacturer Impey has added a new Riba CPD seminar to its portfolio.

The CPD training seminar from the Royal Institute of British Architects – Showering Adaptations: A Guide to Specifying Wetroom and Accessible Showering Equipment – is aimed at architects and specifiers. It can be organised at a location of choice or at the company’s in-house training facility located at its Somerset office.

Impey’s new CPD course covers the following elements:

  • The growth in the requirement for accessible showering;
  • The benefits of wet rooms, level access and low-level access showering;
  • How to specify an adapted bathroom, including considerations for safe showering and slip resistance;
  • Issues to be aware of when surveying prior to an adaptation, including surveying hints, tips and check points for appropriate drainage and additional adaptation aids.

The course sits alongside Impey’s other CPD seminars – The Wetroom Evolution and Safe Showering on the Riba website.

Impey also claimed it was the first UK wet-room manufacturer to offer its former designs as downloadable BIM objects.

James Walker, specification manager at Impey, explained: “Our new CPD seminar covers in detail the subjects of accessible showering and adapted showering and is designed to promote a greater understanding of the requirement for inclusive showering options in all environments.”
