Gorenje appoints new UK MD

Appliance manufacturer Gorenje has appointed Iztok Krulc as the new managing director of its UK business.

Based at the company’s Wimbledon headquarters, Krulc (pictured) will develop strategic plans to boost Gorenje’s profitability and efficiencies.

Other responsibilities will include developing client relations and coordinating the efforts of the various departments – including legal, finance, marketing and sales – to meet company goals.

Prior to this, he spent a year with Gorenje Slovenia after completing an MBA in International Business and Administration at the Faculty of Economics in Ljubljana.

Krulc commented: “It is an exciting time to be a part of the Gorenje brand as we look to accelerate its presence in the UK with some exciting announcements due in the coming months. Gorenje is one of the few global Slovenian companies with a heritage of more than 65 years and is successful across several key European countries. I’m really looking forward to using my international experience to grow the business in the UK.”

Krulc brings a wealth of experience in the kitchen appliance industry to the role, having previously worked for Gorenje’s premium global kitchen brand, Asko, in Sweden, where he spent five years developing its sales and marketing strategy. This included direct relations with the Gorenje and Asko clients and colleagues in the EMEA region.
