Wren Kitchens and Roundhouse Design have both been awarded Accredited Installation Methods (AiM) certification by the British Institute of Fitted Interiors Specialists (BIFIS).
The two retailers received their certification at an event on the Parliamentary Estate on July 30, where the awards were presented by BIFIS chief executive Damian Walters.
AiM, which launched in autumn 2024, is designed to provide an industry standard for fitted interiors installation. The accreditation is intended to support retailers in delivering a professional installation service while reducing risk and providing quality assurance throughout the installation process.
According to BIFIS, the certification is open to local, regional and national retailers and also aims to help installers identify businesses that operate recognised installation standards.
Walters said: “Our announcement today is a fitting example of how two vastly different businesses, by scale, coverage and audience, can benefit from AIM certification. The initiative is still in its relative infancy, and we have not only seen a 100% retention on those businesses that achieved certification last year, but we are on track to growing the number of retail participants – both in number and diversity.”
He added: “I have always been an advocate of creating a level installation playing field for our industry to operate from and whilst these businesses offer two very different propositions, they do so from a unified agreed standard and one that each can build upon to offer a proposition for their respective customers.”

BIFIS said it is continuing to work with a growing number of retailers through the AiM accreditation process, with further certifications expected to be awarded in the coming months.
