PWS celebrates two award wins

PWS has received two awards, recognising its manufacturing expertise and contribution to the local economy.

At the North-East Business Awards, the work surfaces supplier won the Manufacturing Award for the Durham, south Tyneside and Sunderland region.

The North-East Business Awards takes place across three regions, meaning PWS will now move forward to the North-East Area Awards event at the end of April.

PWS head of manufacturing Jeremy Redshaw said: “It was a very proud moment when we were announced as the winner of the manufacturing award. We were shortlisted against some much larger companies and this achievement is testament to the great team we have within the business. The entry focused on investment, innovation and development. We hit the mark on all three counts.”

Its second accolade was the Make Your Mark Company of the Year Award, which honoured the impact and contribution PWS has made to the local Durham economy.

John Lennon, managing director at PWS, commented: “We are delighted to be Company of the Year. It is a great honour to be recognised for our manufacturing expertise, contribution to the local economy, and our commitment to investment, not forgetting the wonderful support of our staff who helped to raise a record-breaking £314,000 for Phoenix House, the Help For Heroes Recovery Centre at Catterick garrison.”
