German bathroom brand Tece has appointed Ashley Shires as its new managing director for the UK, following his recent departure as the head of Siamp.
Shires will officially step into the role on September 21, bringing more than 40 years of industry experience to the role. 14 of those years were spent as the managing director of Siamp, with his departure from the role announced just last week.
Tece says Shires will bring a wealth of career experience to the role, as he has a proven track record in commercial strategy.
Following Shires’ appointment, Tece’s interim managing director, Russell Barnes, will also move into the role of head of sales and marketing, where he will work to support the management and sales team.
“I am thrilled to be starting a new and exciting chapter with TECE, a leading specialist in the sanitary solutions and flushing technology sector,” Shires said. He continued: “ I look forward to drawing on my extensive experience to further strengthen and develop the TECE brand and its innovative product portfolio. I am excited to work closely with our longstanding customer network, while forging new partnerships across the market.”
“It’s a great privilege to join an experienced and passionate team, building upon the strong foundations and together driving the continued long-term business growth.”
