Bathroom supplier Roca Group UK has announced two new additions to its staff, with Dean French signing on to be a new project specification manager, and Matt Preece filling the role of merchant business development manager.

French will now be responsible for liaising with architects and interior designers to promote Roca Group’s range of products and services.

According to Roca, he has a wealth of experience in the sanitaryware sector, having worked for a mix of manufacturers and merchants over the past 15 years.

Discussing his expectations for the new role, French said he was “looking forward to growing existing relationships and developing new contacts in the Northern area, and hope to see our brands specified on many new and exciting projects in the region.”

Meanwhile, Preece’s responsibilities will specifically cover the South West, where he will be expected to liaise with merchant businesses in the area, supporting and building strong relationships between them and the brand.

According to Preece, he has worked a variety of roles in the bathroom sector, including a decade spent at Homebase, and then five years as a business development manager for Utopia Furniture.

He is confident about the prospect of achieving success for the brand, saying: “being able to promote a brand as successful and forward-thinking as Roca is a privilege and I’m proud to be able to walk into merchants with that brand behind me. I’ve only been in the role a short time, but I’ve already met a large number of my new customers and can see I’m going to have a lot of fun working with them!”
