InstallerSHOW renews partnership with World Refrigeration Day

InstallerSHOW has agreed to partner with World Refrigeration Day (WRD) for another year, and will host a programme of activity at this year’s event marking the cooling industry’s contributions to life and health.

According to event organisers, the 2025 InstallerSHOW will have an even greater focus on the cooling industry, specifically addressing its technology and people. As part of the partnership, InstallerSHOW will feature the World Skills Refrigeration Finals, IOR Masterclasses and a range of exhibitors.

Building on last year’s success, WRD will take part in several sessions to highlight its 2025 theme: “Cool Skills”.

InstallerSHOW is set to take place later this year, on June 24-26, at the NEC Birmingham. Registration for the event is open now.

Taking place during World Refrigeration Day itself, on June 26 InstallerSHOW will feature panels and talks looking at encouraging skills for an inclusive industry, celebrating thinking differently, and emphasising the skills of up-and-coming engineers.

“InstallerSHOW provides a perfect platform for World Refrigeration Day to showcase the vital role of cooling and the people behind it,” commented World Refrigeration Day founder, Steve Gill.

He continued: “This year’s theme ‘Cool Skills’ is all about recognising the expertise, innovation, and problem-solving abilities of those in our industry. It’s exciting to see InstallerSHOW putting an even greater focus on the cooling sector in 2025, making it the ideal place to celebrate and inspire the next generation of skilled professionals.”

Specifically discussing the focus on “thinking differently”, Gill said these discussions will continue a series of collaborative initiatives focusing on neurodiversity.

He explained: “Recognising and embracing neurodivergent talent isn’t just about inclusivity – it’s about unlocking a wealth of problem-solving skills, creativity, and innovative thinking that directly benefit our industry.

“As we push the boundaries of cooling and heating technology and sustainability, having a workforce that thinks differently is not just an advantage; it’s essential to our future success.”

Discussing the continued the partnership between InstallerSHOW and WRD for another year, Andrew Gaved, editor at large for elemental and Installer, said: “World Refrigeration Day once again falls within the show week, so it gives us a great opportunity to draw attention to the cooling industry’s achievements, along with its challenges and opportunities. It will also allow us to highlight how important it is to have cooling alongside heating in the heart of Net Zero conversations.”

Both organisations have also said they plan to collaborate on industry events at InstallerSHOW’s sister event, elementalLONDON, which is due to take place on November 19-20, 2025.

Speaking of collaboration, InstallerSHOW recently revealed it would be enhancing its partnership with kbbreview for the 2025 event cycle. Delivered across kbbreview’s digital and print channels, as well as through a series of curated live sessions at InstallerSHOW 2025, the partnership will ensure that installers, retailers, and specifiers in the kitchens and bathrooms space are kept up to speed with the latest developments in the sector in a timely, engaging and informative way.
