The programme of speakers has been announced for The Kitchen Bathroom Buying Group’s (KBBG) annual members meeting, which is taking place on June 30.

Held at Center Parcs Sherwood Forest, the KBBG says that this year’s speakers will offer up-to-date insights on crucial business matters, as well as tailored advice for independent KBB specialists.

Ian O’Donnell MBE, the deputy chair of UK Policy at the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) will speak at the event to address the challenge of prioritising sustainability alongside daily business pressures. He will also outline upcoming legislative changes, and offer practival advice to members on how they can stay ahead and meet net zero goals.

In his role at the FSB, he leads on net zero initiatives, and is also a frequent contributor to both regional and national media.

Also speaking as part of this year’s programming is Graeme Chaplin, a Bank of England agent with more than 30 years of experience across London, Manchester, and Birmingham. He will be returning to the show after a well-received session at the 2023 KBBG member’s meeting, and will provide an up-to-date economic outlook, sharing valuable advice to help buying group members navigate through the second half of 2025.

Finally, this year’s speaker line-up also includes motivational speaker and best-selling author Adrian Webster, who is set to deliver a keynote speech on his own experiences in corporate life and the public sector. Having reportedly worked closely with the KBBG to build an impactful session tailored to the group’s members, Webster will be sharing his expertise on customer service, leadership and workplace culture.

In addition to these three external speakers, the KBBG will also welcome its event sponsor to the stage, with a presentation from James Cunningham, the group sales director of Middleby Residential, who is set to showcase the latest innovations from the company.

Attendees will also hear from UKE Home Solutions, with sales and operations director Peter Todd planning to outline the commercial advantages of updating showroom displays, as well as unlocking cash from pre-owned fitted furniture.

We are delighted to reveal an outstanding line-up of speakers for this year’s Annual Members’ Meeting,” commented Owain Harrison, managing director of the KBBG.

As our members are investing in a day away from their businesses, it’s vital to ensure that our programme provides real value add and leaves them feeling energised and inspired.

It’s my first annual meeting working with the KBBG, and I am looking forward to getting the day started with the latest market intelligence from JKMR and a pacey but comprehensive refresh of our local UK activity over the last 12 months, but more importantly direction over the next financial year, providing the insight and intelligence to get members ahead.

“We’ll then hear from DER KREIS Global MD, Ralph Leimbach, who will share updates from the wider buying group before moving onto our programme of speakers. This will be a solid day of connection, learning and fresh ideas, and I look forward to welcoming our members and guests as we explore how to grow stronger, more sustainable businesses together.”

Harrison was announced as the new managing director of the KBBG back in December 2024. He succeeded KBBG founder Bill Miller, who started the buying group – part of European KBB buying group Der Kreis – more than a decade ago. When it was first launched, it was described as the UK’s first independent buying group for the KBB industry.
