InstallerSHOW 2025 Preview

Taking place once again at the NEC, Birmingham, from 24-26 June 2025, InstallerSHOW has expanded its Installer Kitchens & Bathrooms section. Billed as “one show, offering endless opportunities”, this year’s whole event will feature 800 exhibitors, and expects to welcome 30,000 professionals from across the industry.

Making its debut at last year’s show, Installer Kitchens & Bathrooms offered a packed content programme across two theatres, covering topics such as water and energy efficiency, design innovation, sustainable and smart technology, and changing legislation.

Plans for 2025 include an expanded offering to bring all aspects of the supply chain together in a meaningful and productive way, as well as an enhanced showcase for those working in the tiling and surfaces sectors.

The show will include a comprehensive schedule of free-to-attend live debates and seminars over 11 content streams, and Miatta Fahnbulleh MP, Minister for Energy Consumers, is leading the line-up of panel discussions, keynote talks, Q&As and interactive seminars in the elemental Arena.

Visitors can get the view from the frontline of heating, plumbing and renewables on InstallerPLAZA, learn about all things bathroom-related in the BMA Theatre and be part of Pitchfest – where solutions providers give rapid pitches to the audience. You can also see hands-on demos of the latest solar solutions in the Solar Pavilion, and discuss heat pumps, World Refrigeration Day and more in the Climate Solutions Theatre.

Also definitely worth a look, and featuring products from KBB exhibitors, is the HAUS – a full-scale, Passivhaus standard two-storey house build that will take centre stage within Hall 4 of the NEC, serving as the heartbeat of InstallerBUILD.

On top of all this, look out for the many prize giveaways and promotions from a number of the exhibiting KBB brands, including Hansgrohe, Lecico, Schluter Systems, Showerwall, and TLW.

How’s business?

Andrew Laidler, sales director of decorative products at Egger.

How’s business? What are the big growth areas?

Despite challenging market conditions, Egger continues to increase market share supported by investments and the successful launch of Decorative Collection 24+ and Flooring Collection 25+. The housebuilding market is a challenging landscape currently, it desperately needs change and investment in order to push forward. Amongst the challenges faced by housebuilders are planning regulations, labour and skills shortages, as well as the wider economic climate, with mortgage and interest rates making consumers hesitant. While there were positive signs of growth, the latest USA tariffs have stalled progress slightly, with market uncertainty projected to continue over the next few months.

What are the key trends you’re seeing? What’s driving them?

In terms of purchasing trends, value, affordability and availability are the three key demands we are seeing. Now is the time for innovation, important at any point, but especially critical when markets are tough. We need to be focussing on placing new, fresh ideas in front of consumers to encourage and influence their purchasing decisions.

How’s business?

Rob Ginsberg, CEO of hib.

How’s business currently, what are the big growth areas?

Whilst trading conditions have been quite tough on the wider market, hib. has certainly persevered. We have recently celebrated our 35th anniversary, a major milestone year for us, and we are using this momentum to continue to invest in our design, marketing and retailer support. In terms of growth, there are three key focus areas we are looking at: design innovation, digital initiatives and strengthening our partnerships with brick-and-mortar retailers.

In your opinion, how do you think the market will shape up over the next 12 months?

The next 12 months will be crucial for brands to solidify themselves as market leaders for inspiring, design-led bathrooms. Manufacturers will need to sharpen their focus on maintaining innovation, clever functionality and offering emotionally resonant design to help create more expressive spaces. Overall, the market will reward those who are in tune with the consumer demand in a progressively more efficiency-focused landscape.

How’s business?

Katie Cope, Head of Showerwall

How’s business currently, what are the big growth areas?

Business for Showerwall is going well. We are on a strong rebuilding path following the acquisition by Bathroom Brands Group last year. We’re putting a lot of focus on communicating to our customers that Showerwall is not only still here and we have already implemented some big changes in the business in response to market feedback and are really in the process of unleashing the full potential of Showerwall.  Wall coverings and décor are definitely big growth areas in the bathrooms market, not just in terms of numbers, but in terms of options, choice and new solutions that are constantly developing.

What are the key trends you’re seeing right now, and what is driving them?

A shift in consumer demand from traditional tiling to wall panels is a key trend, driven by benefits such as ease of maintenance and the ability to offer premium aesthetics at an affordable price. We see installers as a key influencer in this trend, so we’re focusing on ensuring that we’re making it as easy as possible for installers to buy into the Showerwall brand and our products.
