A new partnership has been unveiled between InstallerSHOW and the British Institute of Kitchen, Bedroom and Bathroom Installation (BiKBBI), which will see the organisation’s annual awards and conference moving to take place alongside InstallerSHOW starting from 2026.
The BiKBBI already has a major presence at InstallerSHOW’s Installer Kitchens & Bathrooms area, with the BiKBBI Innovation Hub and Village positioned at the front of Hall 4.
However, InstallerSHOW says this new partnership marks an extension of the two organisations’ existing relationship, with BiKBBI said to have been a key supporter of Installer Kitchens & Bathrooms since its launch.
The BiKBBI Conference and Awards usually takes place on the same day in February each year, but this news means that the two events will now run in June instead. This year’s BiKBBI Awards went ahead in February as usual, but the 2025 Conference has been postponed until September.
“Both the BiKBBI Conference and our annual Awards have enjoyed tremendous growth and success in Westminster in recent years,” explained Damian Walters, CEO of the BiKBBI.
He continued: “In order to continue on that trajectory, we have decided to centralise these two important dates in our calendar to not only capitalise on our great relationship with Lyrical Communications but also recognising the significance of InstallerSHOW to our stakeholders and communities.
“This means a change of location to Birmingham and becoming a summer event which will believe will make both events more accessible for our audiences.”
David Ventris-Field, sales director at Lyrical Communications – the company behind InstallerSHOW said that the news was great news for both organisations, and also the kitchen and bathroom industry as a whole.
He commented: “Both Installer Kitchens & Bathrooms and the BiKBBI Conference and Awards, which InstallerSHOW has supported for a number of years, have become fixtures in the K&B calendar. Bringing them together at the NEC is a natural fit which will give everyone in the sector the opportunity to experience the best the industry has to offer.”
InstallerSHOW 2025 takes place later this month, on June 24 – 26 at the NEC Birmingham.
In other news, the BiKBBI recently announced it was changing its name ahead of its 20th anniversary. From October, it will now be known as The British Institute of Fitted Interiors Specialists (BIFIS).
