Lamtek welcomes new operations director

Andrew Airlie

Nottinghamshire-based kitchen and bedroom carcass manufacturer Lamtek has welcomed Andrew Airlie to be its new operations director.

The business says that Airlie’s appointment comes as it continues to take on major new contracts. Lamtek says his extensive experience will be a key asset in leading all of the company’s operational initiatives from now on.

“With over 30 years of experience in the furniture industry, I’m thrilled to be joining Lamtek at such a dynamic time,” Airlie commented. “The company has built a strong reputation for quality manufacturing and is now growing at an impressive pace.

“My focus will be on identifying opportunities for improvement, driving innovation and embedding lean, technology-driven processes that enhance efficiency and performance. I’m passionate about developing teams, maintaining the highest health & safety standards and creating a culture of continuous improvement. I’m excited to continue securing new contracts and to be part of such a fast-growing, forward-thinking company.”

Similarly, Lamtek managing director Nik Teal said that the company decided to strengthen its leadership team as the company was entering “an exciting period of rapid growth”.

He continued: “With his extensive experience in the furniture manufacturing sector, Andrew brings a wealth of knowledge and strategic insight. I’m confident his expertise will play a vital role in supporting our continued expansion and in driving operational excellence across the business. His appointment marks another important step forward as we position Lamtek as a market leader in the UK’s kitchen and bedroom manufacturing industry.”

In related news, Lamtek recently completed a major investment into the manufacturing site at its Nottinghamshire headquarters, which it predicts could double company turnover in the next several years.
