PJH adds another £900 to annual fundraising total

Following a series of cake sales, company games and coffee mornings, PJH colleagues have raised more than £900 in recent weeks for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Staff at PJH’s Wolverhampton distribution centre organised a company competition day, featuring office mini golf and their own version of the viral “Human Fruit Machine” game.

The Worcester team also combined a coffee morning with a charity Bingo session, with half the proceeds going to charity. The site has also held a series of regular themed quizzes and scratch-card fundraisers, which have also contributed significantly to the running total.

Meanwhile, at PJH’s head office in Bolton, staff hosted a bake sale, raffle, Macmillan wordsearch, ‘guess how many coffee cups’ challenge, and even a Strictly Come Dancing sweepstake.

Through its various fundraising efforts, PJH’s recent efforts have helped boost the company’s running fundraising total to more than £8,000 so far, all of which will go to Macmillan, the company’s chosen charity for the year.

“It’s always inspiring to see the creativity and enthusiasm our teams bring to fundraising,” commented Lynn Statham, PJH’s head of people. “Whether it’s cake baking, bingo, or inventive games like the human fruit machine, everyone’s efforts help make a real difference. Supporting Macmillan Cancer Support is close to our hearts at PJH, and events like these show how our people come together to do just that.”

Last year, the company smashed its charity target by raising more than £21,000 for the organisation. PJH colleagues are attempting to raise another £15,000 through donations this year, with the company pledging to add another £10,000 once the target is met.
