Ramsbottom Kitchen Company to celebrate 30 years

Independent studio Ramsbottom Kitchen Company is set to celebrate its landmark 30th anniversary next month, believing itself to be one of the oldest independent businesses in the town.

Founded by husband and wife team David and Tracey Peace back in March 1996, the business has seen three generations of the Peace family working at the studio over the last three decades.

Creating bespoke fitted kitchens across Bury, Bolton, Manchester, Lancashire and across the North West, the business estimates it has completed thousands of kitchens since it first opened its doors. Originally based on Back Square Street, the business moved to its current 15,000 sq ft showroom on Union Street at the start of 2003.

“When we first opened in 1996 our plan was simple, to create beautiful kitchens built to last and by doing that we’ve also created a business built to last,” commented co-founder Tracey Peace.

“I’d like to thank our customers who have put their faith in us during that time, al our staff from over the last three decades, the local community in Ramsbottom and our family and friends for their support.”

David Peace, co-founder, also added: “If you’d told me when we first opened that we would still be here 30 years later, I’m not sure I would have believed you, but I am incredibly proud that we are.

“I don’t think I need to tell anyone how hard it is to make a business a success and we’ve seen it all during that time – financial crashes and pandemics and even a fire at the shop – but thanks to hard work and our commitment to providing great kitchens and great customer we’ve created a real local family success story. Here’s to the next 30 years of Ramsbottom Kitchen Company.”

The studio is planning on celebrating its 30-year milestone with an event at the showroom later this month, where attendees will raise a glass to the business and its achievements so far.
