SieMatic UK managing director Kerry Furber is preparing to relocate to Australia after more than a decade at the company, with contract business development manager Aidan Loonie named as her successor.
During her time with the company, Furber is said to have played a pivotal role in strengthening SieMatic’s presence in the UK market, developing an extensive partner network and deepening relationships with architects and designers.
Aidan Loonie, meanwhile, brings extensive experience with both manufacturing and business ownership, which SieMatic says will give him a strong understanding of brand leadership. He first joined the company last year, and says he will place a strong emphasis on contract and project-led business, strengthening the brand’s engagement with the architect and design community.
In addition, SieMatic UK also plans to appoint a new sales manager with a specific focus on the retail market. The role will focus on supporting studio partners through sales training, CPD, international trips and expansion.
With the MD shake-up underway, SieMatic also confirmed that Abigayle Clayton-Grimshaw will continue to lead marketing activity across the brand, focusing specificallt on brand awareness, lead generation and supporting partners.
“SieMatic has been an incredibly important part of my career, and I am immensely proud of what we have achieved together,” Furber commented. “The UK business is in a strong position, with a talented team and committed partners. I have every confidence that Aidan, Abigayle and the wider team will continue to build on this success as the brand moves towards its 100-year anniversary.”
