Former SieMatic CEO Olaf Hoppe has just been named as the new general manager of Dornbracht, with the company’s previous dual leaders, Caroline Schmitt and Natalia Castellucci de Kolb, both departing the business.
Hoppe joins the business fresh from leading furniture brand SieMatic, and officially steps into the leadership role at Dornbracht from today. The company says he brings extensive expertise in the international market and is an experienced business leader.
His appointment comes just six months after Natalia Castellucci de Kolb joined the company’s management team as chief financial officer. At the time of her appointment, it was announced that she would form a new “dual leadership” model with Caroline Schmitt, the business’ chief sales and marketing officer. However, as of today, both have left the business, with new CEO Hoppe assuming all management responsibilities.
Dornbracht says that Hoppe’s appointment comes after a two-year period of development for the business, specifically focused on strengthening Dornbracht’s luxury positioning and developing its brand profile. The company’s marketing and sales structures are also said to have been realigned in recent years to improve the business’ long-term market performance.
Going forward, and with a new strategy in place across multiple parts of the business, Dornbracht says it is well-positioned for the future despite the challenging global economic climate.
In fact, the company says that Hoppe is particularly well placed to lead the business into the future, as “his professional career is characterised by sustained growth in turnover and profits, as well as successful restructuring programmes. His focus is on long-term growth, competitiveness and increasing the company’s value.”
Dornbracht added that its advisory board and shareholders are said to be delighted with Hoppe’s appointment and wish him every success in the role going forwards.
