Utopia Furniture has been acquired by radiator and bathroom supplier Brand K Group, joining the likes of Just Trays, Kartell UK and Carron Bathrooms in its portfolio.
Based in the Midlands, Utopia has been in business for more than 35 years manufacturing bathroom furniture for both retail and contract customers. Each Utopia bathroom is hand-built to order at its manufacturing facility in Wolverhampton, with the business saying it supplies a nationwide network of more than 600 independent bathroom showrooms, as well as leading housebuilders through its contracts division.
Brand K Group says Utopia’s skilled workforce, long-standing retailer network and established contracts channel, together with its focus on sustainable production methods, align strongly with the Group’s own ideals of quality, British manufacturing and responsible growth.
Established in 2008 by Alex Norford, Brand K Group now employs more than 850 people. The first – and to date, largest – company in the group’s portfolio was Kartell UK, but since 2019, the company has gone on to acquire nine other UK bathroom suppliers, including Just Trays, Vogue UK, MX Group, Paladin Radiators and Carron Bathrooms.
