Online bathroom retail giant Victorian Plumbing has seen a record double-digit revenue increase for the 2026 financial year, with CEO Stephnie Judge saying the business “continues to outperform the wider market despite a challenging consumer backdrop”.
In the company’s trading update for the 2026 financial year, Victorian Plumbing reported its group revenue had risen by 11% to £344m. This marks a considerable rise over the 5% increase seen last year.
The online retailer said it had outperformed the wider repair, maintenance and improvement market, which it says has declined by 1.7% over the same period.
Victorian Plumbing says its revenue increase was primarily driven by a 13% rise in total orders, which was offset by a 5% reduction in average order values.
Revenue from Victorian Plumbing’s tiles and flooring category grew by an impressive 76% to reach £31m, rising astronomically from last year’s revenue of £17.6m. Trade revenue also grew by 6% to £78m.
Additionally, the company also benefitted from generating £7m in revenue from its recently acquired haulage business, Sovereign Transport Services, as well as an additional £3m in revenue from the furniture and homeware brand MFI. Victorian Plumbing acquired the MFI brand when it took over former rival Victoria Plum in 2024, and invested around £3m in relaunching the brand to the UK last year.
This resulted in around £26m in profits for Victorian Plumbing, despite a £4m loss for the resurrected MFI brand. This follows a £2.5m loss for MFI last year as the company says it is reestablishing the brand in the UK’s homewares market.
“The strong momentum we delivered in the first half continued throughout the rest of the year, with the Group achieving record revenue, maintaining double digit growth and further strengthening our position as the UK’s leading bathroom retailer,” commented Victorian Plumbing CEO Stephnie Judge.
She continued: “During the year we gained further market share, improved marketing efficiency and increased our brand awareness. We continue to outperform the wider market despite a challenging consumer backdrop, driven by the strength of our customer proposition, own brand offering and broad product range across both consumer and trade.
“We were particularly pleased by strong growth in tiles and flooring, demonstrating the strength of our category expansion strategy. As we diversify into new revenue streams, MFI has delivered a successful first full year of trading, giving us growing confidence in the scale of the opportunity ahead. An expanding product range and strong customer engagement continue to support momentum in the proposition.
“Our investment in infrastructure continues to deliver tangible benefits, with our distribution centre driving operational efficiencies and providing a platform for future growth across the Group. With continued momentum in the business, a market-leading position, strong balance sheet and highly cash generative business model, we remain confident in our ability to deliver sustainable long-term growth and create further value for shareholders.”
