Bathstore reassures installers ‘business as usual’

Installers worried about future work or payments from Bathstore have been told it’s ‘very much business as usual’.

The British Institute of Kitchen, Bedroom & Bathroom Installation (BiKBBI) has sent a communication to its members this morning about the developing news on Bathstore’s impending administration.

“We fully understand that these reports may cause concern to their staff, customers and installers (our members) and as such, we are committed to support those worried about the news,” the statement says.

“Having made contact with the senior team this morning, they assure me that it’s ‘very much business as usual’.”

The statement goes on to say that the BiKBBI has been assured that the Bathstore operation is running “normally’ with “all payments being made to suppliers, including installers, as usual too”.

The BiKBBI goes on to commit to the ongoing support of its members and working closely with the Bathstore team on their behalf and communicating updates as soon as possible.

Damian Walters, chief executive, BiKBBI, told kbbreview: “While it’s not my place to comment on the news, the validity of its content or indeed the speculation about the future of Bathstore, as usual it’s our commitment to work with all parties to ensure fluid communication is achieved.

“It’s incredibly important that installers are kept abreast of information as they will no doubt be nervous about their future following the news. We are in close communication with the senior team at Bathstore and they are committed to working with their valued installer population and us. We will provide regular update to our members to ensure they’re furnished with the facts, opposed to the speculation”.
