kbb Birmingham 2020: ‘For us, it has always been about the customer’, says Quooker

Exhibitor interview: Stephen Johnson, managing director, Quooker UK

Q: What do you hope to achieve from exhibiting at the show and why are trade shows so important for your business?

A: The kbb show will provide us with a key platform to reach new customers, educate existing suppliers and showcase what sets Quooker apart from its competitors. We are passionate about our products and will use the exhibition to demonstrate why Quooker taps are fast becoming indispensable in the kitchen.

Q: Why are trade shows so important for your business? Why should retailers come to shows like kbb? What are the benefits to them?

A: Trade shows are crucial for us because they provide the opportunity for new and existing customers to see the full range and also provide an opportunity to experience its proper function, feel and form.

Q: How do you think the relationship between supplier and customer is changing? How do you view the health of the UK KBB market?

A: For us, it has always been about the customer and this will never change. If the customer receives impeccable service and is fully satisfied with the product, that relationship will remain positive. We therefore prioritise this in everything we do, and unlike a lot of the KBB industry, are uniquely geared to provide a world-class service to every customer. Any supplier or manufacturer that loses sight of this will ultimately pay the price.

The KBB market is strong and remains remarkably steady despite difficult trading conditions. We maintain that if your product genuinely offers something unique and of worth, people will continue to buy it.
