Exclusive: Smallbone launches immersive virtual design service

Lux Group Holdings, owner of Smallbone of Devizes, has launched a virtual design service that customers can use from their own homes.

The company said the new service temporarily replaces its usual showroom appointments in the current climate.

Clients and designers will be able to screen share and go through the details of their project design with access to all of the assets of a showroom meeting, allowing clients to make decisions at every stage of the design process.

Lux chief operating officer Bob Moore said of the service: “These virtual appointments and consultations allow us to collaborate one-to-one with our valued clients using sophisticated audio and visual technology. We are currently rescheduling all showroom and in-home meetings with a complimentary virtual design consultation.”

The company said that it had already been a resounding success and added that the facility will form the main part for all appointments for the foreseeable future.

Smallbone also has a virtual tour of its existing Knightsbridge showroom on its website.

COO Bob Moore and chief value creation officer Ronnie Shemesh at Lux Group Holdings also confirmed to kbbreview that the Smallbone factory in Devizes was still operational and that the new Brompton Gate flagship store was “ahead of schedule” and that they expected “to open with a spectacular fanfare!” Although in the current circumstances, the company could give no indication of a date for the opening.

The virtual consultations and showroom tour can be seen at www.smallbone.co.uk.
