Hettich has revealed that its turnover hit €880 million (£635m) in 2015, a 4.5% increase, while UK sales rose 15%.
Chairman of the board, managing partner Dr Andreas Hettich, also revealed the company’s expansion plans for its Kirchlengern facility, which got under way on April 6.
“We have achieved the hike in turnover targeted for 2015 and are looking to the future with optimism,” said Dr Hettich. “In 2016, we will be making room for further growth at the Kirchlengern operation by extending our production facilities for drawer runners.”
The company is investing more than €40 million in its largest production facility worldwide. This will provide a floor area of 24,544sq m over two floors.
Commenting on the UK’s performance, Hettich UK managing director Tim Leedham said: “We’re pleased to be making progress and growing our market share. There is lots more work to be done, but with the help of a remodelled showroom in Salford, this year’s important product launches and continued focus on customer service, we are confident we can maintain the momentum.”
