Furniture fittings and components supplier LDL has launched a new website and ordering system for its customers as a way to improve the overall experience and make complex configurations simple and clear.
The website is full of information to browse product, keep up-to-date with latest releases and order products. It was rolled out in June and LDL has already received positive feedback from customers.
LDL has also announced a new delivery charge of £1 on all orders below £100 with free delivery for orders over £100, which are both next day delivery.
It is designed to be responsive across all devices as a way to build a seamless experience. It also acts like a full brochure, with lists of all the products with an easy-to-use filter system to narrow down search options.
Account holders can log in to the website to gain access to all features, including pricings, which are hidden from those without an account. Orders can be placed 24/7 and users can also save commonly-used items as favourites to make ordering quicker.
A 3D configurator allows customers to specify bespoke drawers in three simple steps – nominal length, runner options and internal cabinet width. The price is shown is automatically calculated. There is also a step-by-step guide on how to use the system on LDL’s YouTube channel.
The accounts area is in the process of being upgraded and, in the next few weeks, customers will be able to view all orders and check their status of their orders.
An ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system has also been put in place, which LDL said would help it improve its operations.
