Egger | Andrew Tait

Egger has appointed Andrew Tait as its new commercial director as Bob Livesey retires in spring 2021 after a 37-year career at the company.

Livesey joined Egger in 1983 as import sales and marketing manager and has seen it transformed from a small import business to a domestic producer in the UK.

Tait joined Egger in August and will be responsible for the ongoing commercial development of the decorative and building panels side of the business in the western European market.

He has more than 30 years of professional sales and commercial experience and he brings with him a deep understanding of the relevant sectors in the UK, French, Iberian and Irish markets. His previous position was UK and Ireland sales and commercial director for building solutions group Etex. He has also worked for Saint-Gobain Building Distribution and Jewson.

Tait said: “I am delighted to have joined the senior management team at the Egger Group. I have been working closely with Bob since joining to ensure a smooth transition. I see my role to develop further the successful long-term strategy that has been established under his long and very successful leadership.

“I look forward to working closely with the passionate and professional team at Egger, to continue the development of the business.”
