Tom Howley’s managing director, Kevin Holmes, has been promoted to the role of chief executive officer of BHID Group, the parent company of the luxury kitchen business as well as Neville Johnson and London Door Company.
Holmes first joined the business when he was appointed to the role of managing director of Tom Howley in August 2025. Prior to that, his previous career history included being transformation director at Glen Dimplex, managing director of Dimplex UK, and managing director of Morphy Richards.
In the new role, Holmes will be responsible for leading the company’s wider strategic direction, as well as working with the leadership teams of all three brands to support their continued development. His remit will also include strengthening performance and identifying opportunities for growth within each of the three distinct businesses.
His appointment also coincides with the 40th anniversary of Neville Johnson in 2026, with Holmes poised to help drive the brand’s next phase of growth.
BHID Group says Holmes’ promotion recognises the contribution he has made to the Tom Howley business, and reflects its own confidence in his leadership. Since taking on the position of Tom Howley managing director last year, Holmes is said to have set a clear strategic direction for the business and worked to deliver strong commercial and operational performance.
In his first industry interview given exclusively to kbbreview earlier this year, Holmes outlined that his priority as Tom Howley’s MD was to hone in on “enhancing the client experience and customer journey”. During the same interview, he also revealed that the company was launching a new remote design service, looking to offer “flexible, in-home consultations” to customers who are outside the reach of its physical showrooms.
BHID Group also said that Sonia Davies, its former executive chair, will continue to work alongside Holmes as she begins to transition into a non-executive chair role.
“I’m delighted to see Kevin appointed as CEO of BHID Group,” Davies said. “I’ve seen first-hand the leadership, enthusiasm and strategic vision he has brought to the continued growth and evolution of Tom Howley. I’m excited for him to bring that same energy and ambition to Neville Johnson. I look forward to supporting Kevin and the wider leadership team as we embark on this exciting next chapter for the Group.”
Kevin Holmes, incoming CEO of BHID Group, said he was delighted to take on the role of leading the Group. He continued: “Each of our brands has its own heritage, strengths, and relationship with its customers, underpinned by talented craftspeople and a shared commitment to quality and service.
“My priority is to build on those strong foundations, working with our teams to ensure each business continues to evolve in response to customer needs and market opportunities. That means investing in our people, continually improving the customer experience, and thinking differently about how we grow – while staying true to what makes each brand special. I’m excited about what we can achieve together across Tom Howley, Neville Johnson and London Door Company.”
