Bespoke kitchen company Tom Howley has completely redesigned its Chelsea showroom on Fulham Road, giving the space a fresh update more than a decade after it first opened its doors.
The newly renovated showroom features three full-sized kitchen displays, as well as a walk-in pantry, utility space, media room with a home bar, and even a small cloakroom.
According to the company, the entire showroom has been designed to demonstrate how thoughtful design can be impactful, even within the typically smaller confines of a London property.
The newly renovated Chelsea showroom also sees the debut of Tom Howley’s Malone kitchen, which introduces a contemporary look to the company’s portfolio. Shown in this showroom for the first time, the dark avocado Malone kitchen features clean lines, refined detailing and sleek edge-pull handles, all of which are said to serve as a modern interpretation of the company’s signature style.
The Chelsea showroom also marks the first renovation that new managing director, Kevin Holmes, has been involved with since his appointment. Ex-Glen Dimplex MD Holmes stepped into the role earlier this year, after former Tom Howley managing director Simon Meyrick announced his retirement.
Discussing the showroom’s design, Holmes said: “This renovation represents more than a new look – it’s a reflection of our commitment to creating kitchens that blend timeless quality with personalised style, offering an experience that resonates with every showroom visitor.
“From carefully considered layouts to bespoke details, each element demonstrates what we can achieve – even within a compact London footprint.”
Similarly, Tom Howley himself, the company’s creative design director, added: “Chelsea has always been one of London’s most stylish, design-led destinations, and I wanted our showroom here to reflect that spirit and the way people really live in London homes. The footprint is tighter than some of our other showrooms, which gave us the opportunity to be really clever with the design.
“Every nook and cranny has been used with purpose, showing just how versatile and bespoke our kitchens can be. And each display has its own personality. For me, a showroom is never just about cabinetry; it’s about creating a lifestyle and an experience. My hope is that, when people walk through the door, they feel inspired, that every corner offers a moment of discovery and every detail sparks an idea for their own home.”
Around this time last year, Tom Howley also renovated its flagship Wigmore Street showroom, with the new design serving to highlight the brand’s recently expanded “other rooms” offering outside of just kitchen design.
