Premium kitchen retailer Tom Howley has just announced that ex-Glen Dimplex MD, Kevin Holmes, has been appointed as its new managing director.
Former Tom Howley managing director Simon Meyrick is also retiring from the role after 30 years with the BHID Group, Tom Howley’s parent company. He has held the position of managing director of the kitchen brand for the last five years.
Tom Howley says that Holmes will bring a wealth of experience to the role, and specialises in strategic growth, operational leadership and brand development. He most recently worked as transformation director at Glen Dimplex, after his role as managing director of Glen Dimplex UK.
Tom Howley said it is “well placed to enter its next chapter” under Holmes’ stewardship. As managing director, he plans to work closely with the company’s senior team to continue to drive the business, and will focus specifically on maintaining the brand’s craftsmanship, quality and service.
Discussing his appointment, Kevin Holmes said he was honoured to be joining such an iconic British brand. “Tom Howley is synonymous with timeless design and exceptional quality – values I deeply admire and share,” he said, adding: “I’m excited to work with the talented team here and look forward to building on the brand’s strong foundations as we move into an exciting new chapter.”

This news comes less than a month after premium kitchen brand Harvey Jones also announced a change of leadership, with Susie Townsend picking up the reins as CEO of that company.
