The kbbreview Retail & Design Awards 2021 event is happening and promises to be the biggest industry post-lockdown party of the year.
Originally planned for May, the date has been moved to Wednesday, September 15, following the announcement of the government roadmap out of lockdown last week.
That plan sees all social restrictions being lifted by June 21.
It’s taking place at the magnificent St George’s Hall in the great city of Liverpool and this year it’s not just about celebrating the best retailers and designers, it’s about celebrating this whole incredible, resilient, creative and entrepreneurial industry.
Judging is taking place right now and the shortlist will be revealed on April 1.
“The finalists may have to wait a little longer to find out if they’ve won, but the industry deserves this event after a tumultuous 18 months of highs and lows,” said managing editor Andrew Davies. “We’ve got an amazing venue and some amazing plans so I can’t tell you how thrilled I am that it can all go ahead. It’s going to be a hell of a party…”
The St George’s Hall is a glorious Victorian neoclassical masterpiece and is a grand location for a very grand occasion.
But capacity is limited so anyone wanting to get their hands on the precious tickets is urged to book their seats and tables as soon as possible.
Not only have we frozen the prices from 2020, you can also book with confidence that you will get a full refund if, for reasons out of our control, the event gets cancelled. If you book before July 31 you can pay by invoice.
“The only reason we’re able to put on the kbbreview Retail & Design Awards 2021 is that our amazing sponsors took a leap of faith with us when we launched it back in the autumn,” Davies said. “We couldn’t so it without them, so saying thank you barely covers how appreciative we are.”
Late last year, the kbbreview Retail & Design Awards 2019 won three major events industry trophies, crowning it as one of the best awards events in the UK. The 2020 event was held alongside the kbb Birmingham exhibition.
“We’re so proud of the kbbreview Retail & Design Awards – it’s the biggest, best and most prestigious awards in the industry and I can’t wait to give the trophies out and celebrate everything this industry has achieved in the last year,” Davies said.
