Contracts specialist Stolz Kitchens ceases trading

Contracts specialist Stolz Kitchens Ltd has been placed into creditors’ voluntary liquidation by its directors with the loss of more than 20 jobs.

The company provided a nationwide supply and installation service exclusively to the contracts market, supplying quality European and British kitchens tailored to developers’ needs from its headquarters in Henfield, West Sussex.

Commenting on the decision to cease trading, operations director Darryl Cope told kbbreview: “I can confirm that Stolz have entered creditors’ voluntary liquidation and have notified all creditors, including the redundancies of the entire Stolz [staff]. Despite a strong order intake and a healthy forward order book, the investment to support the growth isn’t forthcoming.”

He added: “There have been highs and lows, from being award-winning to suffering the loss of one of our Stolz family members and best friend, but we will always be proud of what we achieved. There will be some amazing people available, and I urge anyone to hire those whose CV has Stolz in their employment history – they will certainly be an asset to their business.”

The Stolz Kitchens business was started in 2017 by Darryl Cope, who was previously operations director with Alno, ex-Alno sales director Damian Sheridan and Gareth Croker, who passed away in October 2020.

Stolz Kitchens was a new contracts business set up in 2017 as part of a new group, Quality Kitchens Holdings Ltd, by ex-Paula Rosa MD Paul Brew. The group also incorporated the In-Toto kitchen retail franchise – acquired by Nolte in March 2021 – and stone fabrication business Precision Stone, which continues to trade.
