Bathroom retail franchise Ripples has opened its first showroom in the West Country in the city of Truro.
The Truro showroom at 11 River Street will bring the tally to 17, counting the soon-to-open store in Nottingham.
The showroom will feature a wide selection of products from luxury bathrooms brands from across Europe, including baths, showers, enclosures, WCs, basins and brassware, with the emphasis on providing something different in the way of finishes and materials, such as copper baths and bespoke solid wood furniture.
Commenting on the opening, Ripples Truro owner and director Daron O’Reagan said: “I am delighted to open a Ripples showroom in the heart of Truro. Having gained over 20 years’ experience as a bathroom installer, I understand the importance of every part of the process, from sourcing quality products and creating inspiring designs, right the way through to the final installation. I’m looking forward to bringing my knowledge and passion for bathrooms to Truro and to be doing so with the support of the wider Ripples family.”
Ripples also recently held its annual Designer Day annual designer day, which brought together 25 in-house designers from its showrooms at the Retreat at Elcot Park in Berkshire.
Managing director Paul Crow and sales director Nicola Crow reviewed sales figures for each showroom and outlined the key objectives for the day. High on the agenda was sustainability and an initial step was taken by setting up a committee to focus on further implementing sustainable practices across the company.
Supplier Ca’Pietra attended the event and gave an in-depth talk about its up-and-coming product launches. After that, designers presented their favourite recently sold designs for discussion and feedback.
Nicola Crow said of the day: “At Ripples, we know the best way to get the most of our team is to invest in them fully, nurture their skill set and be proactive when it comes to their progression. One of the things that I am most proud of in Ripples is our fantastic team of designers and the fact that we continue to lead and inspire them. The Designer Day demonstrates that
designers can have a varied and fulfilling career with Ripples. The energy and enthusiasm in the room throughout the day were both so motivating and exciting.”
Ripples was originally founded by Roger and Sandra Kyme in 1988 and has 35 years of experience designing bespoke bathrooms for customers around the country.
